Here is a live coverage of this week’s new recipe creation, Tahini Dressing for Veggies. There isn’t an easier way to get more raw veggies into your core.
Tahini Dressing for Veggies
Makes 1 cup
1/3 cup tahini
1/3 cup water
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 garlic cloves, or 2 teaspoons garlic powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
Blend. Add another tablespoon of water for a thinner dressing. Pour over veggies or dip them in. Eat up!
What the critics said:
Bitchin’ Dietitian: “That’s pretty tasty! I can’t wait to put that on falafel.”
Bitchin’ Husband: “Wow. Good. No more for me though.”
Bitchin’ Kids: “Really good. Can we have dessert now?”
Is that 5 stars? That only took 4 weeks! What do YOU do to get more raw goodness into your being?
Where can I get the rotary/crank grater you used to do the celery and carrots?
Isn’t it awesome? It’s the Saladmaster Machine: http://saladmaster.com/index/Products/CompleteCookingSystem/SaladmasterMachine.nws Unfortunately, it’s like Tupperware in that you have to know a dealer or host a dinner party to buy one. But, I’d contact them to see if you can just get one without all the hullaballoo. Let me know if you have trouble. I think it’s a bit pricey ($300?), but like the VitaMIx, it’s SO worth it. I use it every day. (Lucky for me, Saladmaster gave me one to use in my Cancer Project cooking classes.)
who’s the videographer? he did a great job, clearly.
Tell me about it! I don’t pay him nearly enough. It was incredible. He ran in the door from basketball and starting shooting the video before even getting a drink of water!
Jen, this looks great! I’d never heard of Tahini before, but definitely want to try it now.
Hey Kate! Tahini is one of the secret main ingredients in hummus. Fascinating, i know! – Jen
